Thumbstick Country 39 Inches

Country Thumbstick is the perfect present for a smaller person interested in walking and the country. A scaled-down version of our adult's thumb sticks, the thumb stick is an unusual stick that is much sought after in the countryside. Produced using the coppicing method, these sticks are formed from the shoot that grows when the upper part of a young tree (usually ash or hazel) is removed. Occasionally, these shoots fork to produce the distinctive thumb stick shape; the stick should be grasped around the neck, with the user's thumb resting in the 'V' formed by the shoots. They are grown in the Somerset woodland of the manufacturer. Height approximately 100cm or approx. 39 inches. Fitted with a metal ferrule that last longer. Imported from England.  The sticks we have in stock have a little lighter color wood.
