A
pimp is generally known as someone who solicits clients for a prostitute.
However, recently the word has become a slang term to refer to something
that is cool or embellished to look cooler than normal. For example
a “pimped out car” would be a car that has been touched
up with a lot of extras like an expensive sound system or hydraulics.
Pimping is when someone calls attention to themself or promotes
something for themself. Whether you want to be a pimp or just dress
like one, pimp canes are a must-have accessory.
Pimps are known for their overdone style. They dress to draw attention
to themselves. They like to wear gaudy accessories and clothing
made from the most expensive and fine materials like velvet, silk
and fur. Anything they can do to make themselves stand out and look
good but different is the goal for them. This style has made its
way into urban culture, with ordinary people dressing in similar
fashion.
A cane is a “ghettofab” way to help people to achieve
this pimped out look. The pimp cane tends to be straight with either
a simple “c” handle or an adorned spherical handle.
It is generally used as a fashion piece rather than as a means for
support.
For a “ghettolicious” look, the cane should be adorned
with expensive materials. Gold and silver embellishments add to
the gaudy, overdone look that is desired for pimp style. The name
of the pimp game is expensive. It should at least look like it is
expensive. One type of cane that has the look without the price
is a clear Lucite cane. You can even get twisted Lucite for a more
“tricked out” look. These canes are inexpensive but
look different enough that they will achieve the desired look.
Pimps are no longer just prostitute brokers. They are men that
are concerned with their appearance and wish to dress in only the
best clothes and accessories. The goal for them is not just to look
good but to draw attention to themselves. Pimp canes are part of
the overall package and can add the perfect finishing touch.
